Here's a simple recipe for chicken karahi:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a karahi or a deep frying pan over medium heat.
2. Add sliced onions and cook until they become translucent.
3. Add ginger and garlic paste and cook for a minute.
4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
5. Add cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, salt, and garam masala. Mix well.
6. Add chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
7. Cover the karahi with a lid and let it cook for about 10-15 minutes on low heat until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
