How to Make Crispy Tawa Fry Fish Recipe With Chutney
Here's a recipe for crispy tawa fry fish with chutney:
Ingredients:
- 500g fish fillets (any firm fish such as tilapia, cod, or haddock)
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
- Oil for frying
- For the chutney:
- 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup mint leaves
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Wash the fish fillets and pat them dry with a paper towel. Cut them into 2-3 inch pieces and keep them aside.
2. In a bowl, mix together red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt, and lemon juice to make a marinade.
3. Coat the fish pieces with the marinade and let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
4. Sprinkle gram flour over the fish pieces and toss them well to coat them evenly. The gram flour will make the fish crispy.
5. Heat oil in a tawa or a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the fish pieces to the pan.
6. Fry the fish pieces on both sides until they turn golden brown and crispy. This should take about 3-4 minutes on each side.
7. Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the pan and place it on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
8. To make the chutney, blend together coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chili, lemon juice, and salt in a blender until you get a smooth paste.
9. Serve the crispy tawa fry fish hot with the chutney on the side for dipping.
Enjoy your delicious crispy tawa fry fish with chutney!
